After School Enrichment

One of the major goals of the Denver Fencing Foundation is to create sports equality across the city. The Aspen Institute indicates that, “Children from homes in the lowest income bracket are far more likely to be physically inactive than kids from wealthier households.” In cooperation with the City of Denver and Denver Public Schools, Denver Fencing Foundation currently provides 17 different schools with after school enrichment programs, teaching 160 different kids a week. The programs are designed to inspire kids to learn this lifelong sport. Many enrichment schools have a high number of free and reduced lunch recipients.
